Any diesel guys in the Houston area

I'm new to the mercedes diesel world and I'm really looking for someone that can help me understand these things. I'm in Katy and would be willing to travel if someone could take some time to help teach me about these diesels. Mine is an 85 300d California car if that helps lol

Check out houston biodiesel. No personal knowledge, but a buddy of mine who has had 3 w123s says he is knowledgeable. Mostly I am jealous that you have a source of b100. Ours dried up due to congressional shenanagens several years ago

I'm in Houston, but I'm not a good teacher. Send me a private message.

Hook him up with MBCA-Houston by having him join. I've made numerous lifelong friends since joining MBCA-North Texas many years ago. The ones I'm closest to on wrenching on my MB diesel(s) over the years are the fellow diesel-heads! Heh! Go figure!

If you need a good mechanic who is honest and knows the W123 in and out take it to Ronnie Jackson Mercedes in Midtown. He has serviced all my cars and knows the w123 better then anyone I know.

I'm another member in Houston and welcome to the family. Houston is full of these cars and at least here towards downtown, there are several very good mechanics who know these cars well - a little far from Katy, but let me know if you need a recommendation. I barely have time to wrench on my own car and solve its problems and I regret I can't be of much help now, but stick around these boards and you'll learn a lot - I sure have and am still learning.

Another Houstonian W123

I'm also in Houston, but I'm near Clear Lake. I do get out to Fry Road and I-10 on occasion (to visit clients).

I also have a 1985 300D KaliKar; although its currently in Richardson, TX at UTD with my daughter.

Glad to have you on board. Ask away; there are many good sources of information here. I couldn't own/operate one of these cars without this forum.

That would be either Chris (the owner) or me (Shawn, warehouse manager). We're both pretty knowledgeable, and if you want to stop by to chat about these cars you are more than welcome!

We are located in the Heights. You can find our address here.

Shawn is a great guy and overall the place is good too. One thing is fer sure, you get 100% clean B100. The tank sits right in front of you.

HA, I was there ordering all of those Baldwin filters for my 6.4 PSD about 4-6 weeks ago.

When I am in town, I fuel up at Houston Biodiesel. There are many reasons I buy it from HBD...locally made, smells fun, good for these old motors, and hell, cheaper too!
