Just imagine. It's easy if you try.

That video is about a car in Canada - the ebay car is for sale in Florida.

Now OK it has wheels it can be moved easily - but - this whole turbo diesel thing. I wonder what engine is fitted to the car that's for sale in Florida.

If I were selling that car, and it was valid, I would track down a previous registration for display. Sometimes it's a simple phone call to a state DMV to get previous owner info. Especially if the PO is deceased.

It's an older video.

whats really fishy to me is that the record company bought he Chrysler wagon for Lennon, and put it in storage when they got the mercedes.

Sounds like they also bought the mercedes. The description of the Chrysler is amazing in how it was preserved from Lennon's ownership, notes, music, garbage, all still in there.

I have doubts that such a car owned by such a person would be painted an extremely boring beige color, and sold with almost no pictures.

looks like the subwoofer shown in the video is in the back hatch area, but laid down at an angle? could be the real thing? if so, their marketing effort is terrible!

Well I called the museum and they transferred me to Vintage Cars of Sarasota that shares the facility with the museum and they were not aware that the car was for sale. He said he walks past the car 40 times a day and would have known if it was for sale. He does have John Lennons SL for sale . http://vintagemotorssarasota.com/inventory.htm

He took those pictures some time ago but it was not their Ebay listing. Seems as though someone may have pulled the pics and may be running a scam. I will post further info when they get back in touch with me with more details. Nothing definitive right now, just getting to the bottom of this

I reported it. The pics in the ad are conveniently the same as the article which was just published.

Well then, all this just confirms that my '84 TD must've been the one owned by John Lennon!

Happy Motoring, Mark
