602 Glow Plug WIRING - temp

Hey,

I have a om602 from a 1991 and the temp sensor wire going from the passenger side sensor runs into the relay, but my question is does it also pass through from the relay to dash water gauge? If so, is it the solid brown lead coming out of the relay?

BTW, anyone replace their oem gauge with aftermarket gauge? Brand used?

Thanks

The brown wire is ALWAYS ground. Has nothing to do with the water temp sensor. I believe that relay you're talking about is the glow plug relay. Not really familiar with the 602 (mine's a 601) but there isn't any reason for a ground to go through any relay usually. That relay is for the glow plugs.

No. It's not the ground. I have the ground traced as well as this wire. It runs from temp sensor and tells relay to set glow plug for short or long timed cycles.
