I bought a house where a guy ran a typewriter repair business out of the attic. He must have had 20 different typewriters and misc manual calculators. Some working, some in a state of repair. He had typewriters from the 1930s to the 1970s.
One thing I learned is that typewriters are worthless. I tried selling some of them and not a single one would bring more than $30. I don't know why, but there is little market for them. People are still infatuated with computers to the point where vintage typewriters are not of interest. |

I have this Corona Standard that I saved. I have the box for it as well. I think it was made in 1944 if I remember correctly. I'm not sure what happened to the rest. I know I gave one to a buddy of mine. The rest might still be up there in the attic. Some worked, some didn't. My mom may have gotten rid of them but I doubt it. Probably still up there. This is at the house I have in Haverhill.
