Wrench size for valve adjustment for a '70 220D?
I found a nice walk through for adjusting the valves on my 220D. Checking the first one it seems they are too tight. But when I got to adjust them I can get a wrench to fit the bottom nut. The top one is a 14mm no problem there. The bottom one looks to be 14mm but is a little too big for a 14mm wrench to fit. A 15 is too big. I even dug into my SAE wrenches but nothing I have fits the bottom nut. Am I missing something obvious here? A special tool perhaps? Thanks.

They should both be 14mm, is it possible the wrench might be getting hung up on something else, preventing it from going on? If all else fails, you can always get a cheap 14mm from a parts store or something and file it out a little larger
