Buying from Peachparts:

Need get my order in shortly.

So let me know what is the best brand for 300 sdl (W126) flex discs.

Whatever brand you choose, use a rear flex disk on the front. Its much stronger and less likely to fail. MB mounted rear flex disk on the front of heavy duty applications like taxis.

the Funny thing is, you will get a made in germany sticker on the Meyle box... and inside the part will have a made in China sticker on it...
so...
the BOX is made in germany... or is it just the sticker?

IIRC, Febi claims that while their parts are indeed made in china, they are made to their specs with their processes... so they MAY be good enough... but I like Lemforder/OE

any company that would call their company O.E.M. to trick buyers into thinking it's original manufacturer's quality stuff... sad...

they probably have very loose specs. Very few rubber components out of china is any good. Suspension bushes are a good example. The Chinese have just not got around to formulating rubber for these components that is any good.

In All Fairness I need to report....Peach Parts did me right!

So I spoke with a MB parts person at Peach Parts inquiring who the "OEM Brand" discs listed on the site were made by. She had someone check the actual parts and replied "says made in Germany" on the part.

So I purchased them, received them next day and low and behold....
Box is Lemforder...and the part has the molded "SGF" as factory units do / did, and "Made in Germany" molded on one face.

So....Peach Parts came through and at 25 to 30% less cost than the Febi or Meyle offerings.

I'm pleased. Kind of reminds me of the ole Phil days.

So props to PP are due in this case.

I have read Zero issues concerning Lemförder/Lemfoerder/Lemforder Flex Discs.
The ones I installed on My Year and Model were made in German and at a reasonable price.
But, you may need to shop around for a source of them.
