...when you're wife's car (another MBZ diesel) goes in for service at the dealer, they give her the choice between a C350 and a GLK350... and she opts to drive your 27 year old car instead because the loaners feel "cheap" and "flimsy."

This one still works with modern diesel cars too. Though you are more likely to get the "you're putting diesel in that car..." talk.

I get that a lot when pulling up to the Diesel pump in the Datsun PU. Give the guy $40 bucks for pump #1. he says that's the diesel pump, I know, it burns Diesel, since when, since 32 years ago when I bought it. then I ask the guy, where were you in 1981? usually not born yet or in Diapers.

Or I tell the guy it might be the wrong stuff Iam putting in it, but has run pretty well on it for over 400K miles.
