Is there a cost with unconverting greasecar?

What are the cost of unconverting a OM617 greasecar back to diesel? I'm not familliar with what goes into the conversion from diesel to grease so I ask if it is a 1:1 switch or are there other associated costs and tasks

It should be relatively easy to convert back to diesel.....not sure what was chopped up to convert it to wvo.....so the cost may involve just some fuel house and filters....to injectors to injection pump to fuel tank to a whole other engine.....just depends.....

Depends. Is this a full Greasecar brand kit (two tanks, heaters, swtichover valves) you are talking about, or are you using 'greasecar' as a generic term?

There are many conversion setups, some of which will come off easily, others that will have involved hacking stuff under the hood.

No cost.
The only task is to switch the fuel source to diesel and leave it there.

Make sure that the returned fuel is routed back to the diesel tank if the return is now looped back to the fuel input. You do not want to "loop" diesel for the long term.

Depending on what you'd want for the kit, I may be interested.

Thanks!

Some say there's a big cost to repairing the damage that may (or may not) have been done

You just have un-fu** whatever someone else did. Yes, there is a cost but not as much as if you were to convert to veg oil. Unless the engine was damaged.

This might have been said already but some People have found there Fuel Tank and Fuel Tubing restricted with Gunk that cannot easily be cleaned out.

Less often some have had the Fuel Injection Pump damaged or the Piston Rings stuck.
