Bosch boost sensor info
Anyone know anything about these? Available in the early 90's 300D's, I am using the metal ones (I have 2 metal ones and one plastic denso).
Once upon a time I swear I saw a graph (manual?) for the calibration along with some stats on it. I've assumed its a 3bar abs sensor.

Metal bosch one is 3 bar the plastic denso 2.5bar. That is absolute so subtract ~1bar for altitude. Added boost to my arduino gauge:
Esm 2.1 first drive. - YouTube Seems like I only have a 5% difference, at 5V in the metal regs 4.75v max. May not even be worth reprogramming. However the 50* round off I did in the EGT is bothering me. I think I will pull it to fix the 5% in boost and round to 10* rather than 50*.

Do your mean the MAP sensor in the 92-93 300D or the overboost switch in the 90-91 300D? Do you know where the MAP sensor is located in a 92-93? I see a hose teeing off the ALDA line leading into the firewall but I can't trace it beyond that.

Odd they used 2 different range sensors. Is the EDS unit different between the two?
Older TDIs have a 2.5 bar sensor. The computer uses the value before starting for altitude calculation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

W-w-w-w-wait. The 90-91 has a MAP sensor and an overboost switch? There was a separate discussion whether the 90-91 would cut boost if it sensed overboost through the MAP sensor or concluded such from too much airflow in the absence of the overboost switch.
