300SDL W126 Center Vent Pod R&R
 

I pulled this picture from the web. Can I replace the pod circled without pulling the dash? I think it controls the flap and is behind the climate control panel or there about. There is no air from center vent and I jammed it open but the air flow is not very satisfactory. I am planning on replacing it.

Any info is appreciated.

Yes, the center vent pod can definitely be changed, on the W126, without pulling the dash.
