Rear Speaker Grills

Can anyone tell me the proper (factory) color of the rear speaker grills (package shelf) on a 1982 300CD with Palomino interior? Thanks

On my 1983 300D with palomino, the factory grilles are also palomino.

Although I have seen black as an alternative, seems to be "neutral" to all interior colors.

Thanks. I am restoring a 1982 300CD - light ivory exterior, Palomino interior, European headlights. Is your car Manilla Beige? Thanks

Kind of off topic, but I installed a set of palomino rear speaker grilles from a W123 in my W116 to replace the black ones. They are the same color as the parcel shelf carpet. After using the dye from World Upholstery, I might consider dying them bamboo to match the rest of my interior.

Yes, that's the correct color.

Not sure if this had to do with the stereo unit, original unit on mine was the Becker Europa 499.
