I'll take a non-working or unknown Becker from one of your 2.5 million 'SDs .

95 E300 (606.910) did NOT have electronic IP, it was still mechanical. The electronic IP didn't arrive until the W210 chassis on the 606.912 motor.

so... I should go get the diff?
I could not see any SLS rams, but it had the reservoir and pump of one. this makes sense...

so... is a retrofit possible?

Somewhere along the line someone at Mercedes knew it as an E300D...a snap from my original delivery paperwork.

I refuse to see that.

You can't easily retrofit ASD, but it might be possible... you'd need the diff, axle shafts, entire hydrualic system including pump & reservoir, wiring harness, instrument cluster, and ASD control unit.

The ASD diff can be converted to standard LSD, or could be used as standard LSD, without the hydraulics. However the clutch pack is probably shot and it's not easy nor cheap to replace the clutches. This would fit your 87 300TD.

Diff is 2.87 ratio in 185mm size, btw.
