I had a tire place twist off a lug then say "we'll fix it when we take the drum off to do your brakes. 3 log nuts is plenty."

This was on a Datsun Z. They fixed it then and never touched another of my cars.

My tires have already been delivered! I was away at work when FedEx came, but they were able to leave them at the main office of my apartment complex and I picked them up from there. Still have to get them on the car, but no complaints from me!

Wow, thanks for the tip on TireBuyer! Some pretty amazing deals there!

Another one I have been itching to try is treadwright.com. Commercial retreads in light truck sizes. Soon as I wear out the 31x10.50's on the yota, I'll be placing an order.

No data on Tire Buyer, but I recently bought a set of General Altimaxs for my BMW from DiscountTire.com . No issues at all and I feel like I stole them after rebates ( they were about $40 each). Even w/o the rebates they were more competitive that Tire Buyer or Tire Rack etc. I mounted and balanced them myself....

$25 and a broken hood latch later I have the tires on! I've only driven for a couple miles on them but no complaints. As for Tire Buyer I wouldn't hesitate to use them again! (Guess it helps to live only 70 miles from one of their warehouses!)
