Need to unload my 95 E300D

Initially I was happy to be patient in marketing my 95 E300D. But, with the unexpected acquisition of the low miles 98 E300D, I really need to sell the 95. Just can't own six cars at once!

I've had it up on Craigslist and the For Sale section of the forum. This week it's up as an Ebay auction. Mercedes Benz E Class Base Sedan 4 Door | eBay

Initially I set the reserve at $3000 (don't mind telling you guys). But I think I'm going to drop it at least to $2500, maybe even $2000. Just FYI in case anyone has an interest.

Chris W has like 405k on his. But I don't disagree....306k is a lot of miles.

Hey, I thought MY wife was going to kill ME if I bought the 98....but she didn't....I'm still alive and she even seems to be happy for me.

So, you never know...your wife may surprise you.

If I hadn't just bought my 220D, I would be all over this car!

With those miles, there's a lot of $ liability just owning it over time, before somethin' 'spensive blows on it, shertex. I'd try to blow-it-out before the snow starts flying, by coming down to taking $1,500 for it. I would price it at $1,995-$2,495 on CL, and get it gone being very negotiable.

Between market realities, my wife's displeasure with our owning six cars, and my desire to put the plates on the 98.....suffice it to say, I'm highly motivated!

Is that really a lot of miles? I've had a number of swedish gassers that I put more than that on and then sold or gave away running. I know of one ovlov 745 that I gave to a friend with 345 on the original motor and it's still plugging along at (last check about 6 months ago) 426.

One of my sodding 3 cyl metro's is over 200k on the original motor, the other has a JDM replacement because I bought the car with a tossed rod but that JDM has over 100k plus whatever the original mileage was.

Just curious.

Owning 6 cars is part of the deal if you are going to start flipping cars. Either that or you have to control the urgh to buy the next good deal. I know. I've been there. Oh, wait; maybe I'm still there. Let's see. I own 5 Mercedes diesels, the Dodge Dakota 4BT swapped, and I might be taking the 1958 Ponton back.

I feel for you.
