Of the car? The paint is horrible. The outside is very embarrassing. It was repainted black, very poorly, and the door jams are still blue. I will repaint it to blue when I get everything else back where I want it.

Biggest differences, power and noise. The "whisper diesels" are much quieter than the setup for the OM616. The HP is what, double the 240? Also seems to get much better mileage. Once I get the gauges working, I will go through some routine maintenance stuff. Like replacing the injectors. It came with new Monark injectors so I don't have to buy those! There also seems to be an intake leak around the intake manifold. One can hear a put put put and feel it too. I think the PO might have removed the pre chambers at one point. I really hope it is just a bad gasket. Not sure if it has all the power it is supposed too... but time should tell.

Personally, I'll take heat first but to each their own.

I'm in Florida, heat is not a big deal, I'd take A/C first. But seriously, engine temperature is important to know, as well as your speed.

Someone suggested to me the Kilma and OVP are what is missing on the left side by the battery.

Is the OVP the over voltage protection? Why would one remove that? Would removing it keep the battery from charging too?

Hummm, Klima missing too..

Thanks for the pictures! I am missing the Klima relay but the OVP is there. Also, on the very right side is there supposed to be something that controls the idle? If i move the wires around, the idle changes some.

I replaced the coolant temperature sensor and the gauge now works. I don't know how accurate it is. It was getting hot, too hot, and that is when I pulled over to check the transmission level and the stick broke.

yeah. there should be a knob numbered 1 to 8 I think... JUST out of the picture on the right. I'll snap another one that includes the knob.

Thanks. Maybe the PO removed the wires from the nob and thats why rattling them will change the idle.
