OM642 EGR valve replacement (07 E or ML 320CDI))

Anyone out there done one of these yet?

It's flagging the check engine light after a MAF replacement which clearly failed.

86K miles

Performance and MPG are perfect post MAF swap and EMC firmware update, tech from MB dealership believes the electronics associated with the valve are FUBAR, but valve seems to be operating correctly based on data from the exhaust gas and intake data from MB-DAS, but it's flagging bad in the troubleshooting flow chart.

Tech mentioned coking makes for a challenging removal, but install is a breeze.

Anyone?
