Any idea where I can find the wiring diagram for the ignition switch 1983 240d?
 

I recently acquired a 240d from a friend who had the ignition locking problem a while back. His land lord installed a new one, but got a couple wires backwards. When I turn the switch to heat up the glow plugs, I can turn on the blinkers, windows and windshield wipers. However when After starting the car non of the above work. I am hoping only two wires are crossed. Thanks in advance.

you need a schematic. cheap low-res copies are in haynes, mercedes service materials have nicer versions.

Indeed! Thank you Graham. I've been trying to find that page for a week. Startek keeps giving me 404s. Actually I needed 82 but that was easy to change in the url! I can finally diagnose my flashers.
