SORRY: THERE WAS AN ERROR PROCESSING YOUR TRANSACTION. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER.
They were having server issues a few weeks ago, that they have now resolved, so I recommend trying again.

so to understand, you have flushed it and are watching the coolant for signs of oil?

Exactly. So far the plan is to monitor "Greselda's" oil consumption to determine whether I can get away without doing the head gasket right away. I just found my chain guide pin tool and all the corresponding tools to do the job in case. I also flushed the oil too just in case... NO coolant whatsoever.

That's the exact shape my 617 is in. We shall see. I've got a lot of pressure in the coolant hose and chronic low coolant but the oil shows no signs of coolant. Hmm

Finally fixed that stupid Empty Magazine screen on the Headunit for good I hope when I try to play Rumours by Fleetwood in the car now. I made a little sling with electrical tape for the big plug for the CD changer that had an amazing amount of play in it when I fixed it. FIXED so now I can listen to my CDs now. Hopefully it lasts. Tomorrow I fix the sunroof and heat in the car.

Fixed the E300 tonight and got a little done.
1): Replaced sunroof cables and lubed tracks.
2): Replaced all the burned instrument cluster bulb(s)
3): Replaced the climate control bulb(s)
4): Replaced the cabin filter(s) and vacuumed the area.
5): Replaced the glove box door.
6): Replaced shift surround wood with darker wood from another 210.
7): Made a roadside tool box and spare fuel filters and MAF.

Also ordering the 1-2 overlap valve kit from Sonnax for the trans and doing that.

How much did that kit cost? I definitely need to do this repair. Any chance you can post up some pointers on the DIY once you get into that project?

Just a couple of quick pointers when you go to replace the headgasket:
-Expect rubber parts to be worn when you take the engine apart. The breather tube on the valve cover, etc. You'll want to write the part numbers down so you can order them in case they disintegrate during takedown.
-Replace your fuel return lines with Viton. You can get kits from some members off this site. Sometimes the viton doesn't mate well with the nipples on the injectors. If that is the case, then use a bread bag twist tie and that should hold it. Kind of ghetto, but it works.
-Consider replacing the timing chain while you're in there. I realize this sounds crazy with the low miles you have, but it will save you time and money if you get it out of the way.

I never quite called... Kind of got side tracked. I'm ordering this week as I got the money now. I'm getting her on the hoist next Friday at the dealer. So I figure I should have the parts here (1-2 overlap sleeve) and I'll go in depth with pictures as I go along. Oh and fuel return lines and timing chain and head gasket set I'm ordering this week too.. Good idea to get 'er done.

This car is great.

The car is now re-named "Christine" and is appropriate. I haven't updated this thread in 4 months. This is a first for me and the oddest thing I have yet to see with an OM606. I flushed the system I posted on 11/12 a few times. I drove the car after this for about 500 miles. I checked the coolant tank briefly in-between and no oil has been in the coolant. There is no coolant in the oil either. It's almost like it "fixed" itself. I'm hoping it stays this way. It's been a good 7000 miles so far. I think there could possibly be a slight crack in the head gasket, and it just hasn't wanted to give me an issue again.
Other work since performed:
Transmission service with conductor plate, pressure regulator spring replaced.
Sunroof serviced and repaired.
AC serviced and repaired.
Dashboard replaced. Of course, used unit.
