722.6 Tranny: What is relationship between measured level and fluid volume?

At 80C (operating temp), what is the difference, in ounces, between the min and max marks on the 722.6 transmission measuring tool?

Don't know. Do know proper fill level was revised to the Max mark at 80C fluid temp.

Don't drive around with the lock pin removed on the fill tube cap. The cap will vibrate off and be lost....You can insert the broken off pin temporarily while adjusting fluid levels.

Really? That's surprising...it seems pretty snug without the locking pin.

that cap is pretty darn snug - it almost pops into place if it has the correct O ring on it, If the O ring is missing the cap will obviously vibrate off.

Yeah, I've got the o-ring....very snug, I can feel it snap into place.

Fluid was pretty low....I've added about 16 oz. so far....will get leak fixed next week.

Been running mine without the locking pin for about eight years.
