Bought a motor from VS tech

Its a 83 240d motor from the car that Greazer put my old euro 300d into. It is supposed to be low miles and John got it to startup for me and run in his garage. I am pretty happy with it and am planning to put it into Pancakes which I bought fom The Don a couple of years ago.

I expected Mount Holly to look a lot like Mayberry and was not at all disappointed. John is a very handsome guy. He still has a dozen or so benzes around down from 51, he said.

I like how he thinks!

cool news, I should be there next Saturday myself, probably doing the same thing, although I may just bring the car with me and leave it for his professional hands.

Spending today with a walker is a good reminder not to try big jobs like head removals on a diesel anymore

That engine is the one that powered my 240D. Glad to see it's getting a new life.

And Maybe John has a van or or 4-whl drive pickup truck that needs an engine? We can all try to put my less than 200K 3.0L from my '83 into it? Would love to see how John would convert the HVAC system to work!!!!! LMAO!!!! Not even worried about matching up the engine . . . you evil geniuses won't even lose any sleep over that one . . . .ROFL.
