Hmmm...
I think that's the gross vehicle weight... so that's the distribution loaded... empty would seem the weight will favor the front...

Take the car to a truck stop and weigh it for eight bucks or so. You'll get the total weight and the front and rear axle weights. Weigh it in the running condition you're interested in. In my case, that was full fuel, driver, and no passengers or cargo. In this condition, my 240D was considerably heavier on the front axle than the rear.

World domination planning. It's all in the details.

Seriously, though, I'm considering brake mods and some of the equations I'm working with require finding the car's center of gravity, which is found using the wheelbase and weight distribution.

My rears lock up before fronts on clean dry pavement. This isn't good. I think it happens because tire technology has advanced considerably in the 30 years since my car was made, and I buy the stickiest tires available. I'd love a driver adjustable proportioning valve, as is seen in F1, but funds don't allow it right now.

The benz brakes are not prone to lockup like that. I experienced it once on my 500SEC but it was because I had ceramic pads on front and not back. The fronts locked up because the ceramics grab a lot more than other types. Have you changed brake pads?

I've been very impressed by the brakes in both my 126's. For a car of that size, they'll perform very well. I wouldn't be afraid to drive to Lowell daily with it.
IIRC, Centrix sells a high carbon rotor and a good set of pads that will make a simple pad and rotor change produce good results. I get fair pricing from local stores if interested.

Rears yes, along with rotors and calipers. The fronts are what was on when I bought the car in 2005. I'm waiting for the front pads to wear out before I do W126 rotors and calipers.
