Anyone use this kind of a setup? It would be nice to be able to dump right into the disposal container without having to transfer out of the collection container into a disposal container. One less thing to create a mess.

I was having a lot of trouble getting the oil plug out of my 220d for the first time. So I bought a mityvac 7201 flud extractor. It was unable to pull a vacuum because it had a damaged o-ring on the pump. So I returned it for another one. It arrived with some of the plastic parts already cracked. So I returned it and have given up on this particular extractor. So for now, I am just going to crawl under the car. The old oil filters on the w115 essential requires you to go under the car anyway, so it is not really that big of a deal. But I had hoped to use it as a "treat" when doing the oil on the w124. Oh well.

IIRC the 617 drain hole faces aft and is quite a reach. The '87 300D drain hole is on the side so I can reach the plug without lifting the car. Extract or drain, I don't see much of the underside so I need to plan purposed underside inspections. Ironically or conveniently, the front belly pan has been off for the past few years while I keep track of a front seal leak.

I've got the same one. I used to just drain and throw the oil in a 5G bucket. Now I've got a bunch of 1G oil containers! I need to take them down and recycle them.
