Has anyone seen or installed driving lights on a 124?
I know this isn't diesel specific, but hey, the traffic is busier here. Every now and then I get the urge to have more light, especially now that we are off daylight savings time. I know I could go for high-zoot bulbs, put in relays, etc. but nothing beats an old pair of Cibie Super Oscars, right?
I don't think I've even seen a photo of a 124 with driving lamps. Doesn't really look like there is a decent place to put them on top of the bumper. Anyone? Rgds, Chris W. '95 E300D, 407K with driver whose eyes are getting older

Ask the E500E guys how much more light Euro E500E lights put out. IIRC the typical 124 fog lights are the high beams and there are fog or driving lights in the bumper.

Ha! That's a good idea - would make me ready for the Baja 1000.

Pull the headlight lenses, remove the glare shields off the fog lights, replace bulbs with 100w H3, up the fuse by 10a, done. Now when you switch on your fogs you have driving lights. Who uses fog lights anyway (other than the idiots that leave them on all the time)?
