1985 300D anthracite grey correct pin stripe color?

I would like to know what color(s) pin stripe a 1985 300D anthracite with palomino interior would have had. Thank you.

Probably whatever pinstripe tape the dealer had at the time...

If old pics are to be used as reference, I don't think they used pin stripes back then, so It would be your choice... Here are some old pics for ya:
Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbodiesel picture # 01 of 04, Front Angle, MY 1985, 1024x768
And if you check these guys' work, you'd find that for an anthracite grey Mercedes they would probably use a red pin stripe.

Typically the pin strap would match the interior color.....it is a great little hint to know a cars interior color or if it has a swap or repaint....

I guess so........but my '83 300SD had white pinstripes, over a Silver Blue over Blue interior leather.

My 06 E320 CDI has painted on Black and White pinstripes, over a Pewter Grey /Charcoal Black interior.

I think it's up to the artist or owner what color(s) pinstripes get applied to their car.

Hmm interesting....maybe it is a w123 thing....I got curious about the pinstripe on the w123 so every time I seen one, it always seemed to match the interior color....mine is black and my interior is black....well what is left of my stripe

Great choice there with the tan color, I think you hit it right on the nose. The 85 coupe I have has the same pin stripe color (palomino interior as well) and is original as you can see by the faded paint it sits on. Did the car get repainted as well or just restriped? I love a freshly striped Benz
