Heads up. LKQ is having a 50% off sale starting this Thursday (or Friday at some locations) at select locations in CA, FL, IL, IN, MI, NH, and NC. Sounds like a good way to burn some calories after eating all that food on Thanksgiving.:)

Kinda bummed that TX didn't make the list. :(

I went last weekend precisely because of the sale this weekend. The sale is always a zoo, never find parking, long lines and all the interiors get trashed. Unless you're pulling an engine or gearbox, its not worth it.

BTW there's a w123 euro cloth interior at the Wilmington yard, if you're into that kind of thing.

I just found they list their inventory on-line. Saved me a trip, the only MB they have in all 3 yards within range of me is a 2001 ML320 in bad shape

I stopped going there about 2 years ago because their prices are normally pretty high, they are borderline greedy. Considering the trip there and back, entry fee, time wasted, and just getting a used part....I've just gone with always using new stuff now. Way easier.

I'll be at the LKQ Durham Friday if anyone wants to meet up for some fun. There's an '85 SD there that I saw about ten days ago in person and it looked untouched under the hood. Even the air cleaner was still bolted down. I'm going after the turbo unit and alternator bracket and a few other goodies. Be happy to help someone with a bigger job.
