210 (99 300 TD) Glow lamp on
I searched, read my manual but seek wisdom and experience.
Glow lamp is stayiing on. Just started yesterday. I'm checking if plugs are being turned on now. Any clues and fixes are welcome. Thanks. |

Does it go out and then come back on about 3 seconds after the engine is started? If so, it's a bad GP or possibly the electrical connector has fallen off of one of the plugs. A resistance test at the GP replay output will tell the tale.

I am not sure the GP light misbehaves consistently for all GP problems. My rule of thumb is: when the GP light is not operating as expected, check for voltage to all the GPs and check their resistance.
The plug on the relay box (on the LH fender well) is marked 1-6, and the resistance can be checked from here with the connector unplugged. With it plugged in, the voltage output can also be checked. I also found a broken connector at one of the GPs, so don't discount a wire fallen off, or a break in one wire between the relay and the GP itself.

PO1365, 67 & 69 is a bad GP at cyl's 1,2/3,4 or 5,6 respectively.
PO380 is usually the relay or user error (turned key with no glow and attempted/started on cold GP's). If user error, CEL will reset after 3 hot/cold run cycles with not repeat error.
