Goodbye old friend....

I'm going to miss this car.... despite some of the issues I had... it was truly a great car.... I'd like another W210 maybe one day....

It's a shame you never found out the root cause(s) of it's engine failure.

I sure enjoyed my 99 E300TD, the years I owned it too..

It's not going to be parted is it? That would be a real shame. That's a nice looking w210.

That's too bad. I've got the same color and model. Great vehicle, but as you said, it has its share of issues to sort.

Nice looking car. I was interested in that one to put a motor in but never could figure out what part of the country it was in. I probably should hold out the fuel economy of a 190 though....this 125 miles a day for work commute is a lot of fuel.

:/ would like to keep it, but storage would cost money, insurance costs money to keep it on...a lot of money out for a car that's not operable... Engines cost 2550-15,480 looking at all the costs involved... Just not worth it.... I miss it terribly...

Even 5k to install an engine costs less than a single year of payments on a mid range new car.......I learned that lesson with my TDI, which I am dumping come spring. Far too expensive for a car that doesn't drive as nice as any of my MBs....I also shudder to think of maintaining it when the warranty is gone.

And if you bought it new, you already got hit with the most depreciation.
