Thanks Joe - you may have just found my next car.

I've been toying with the idea of getting a CDI for several months, but wow! My 410,000 mile E300D can pass the baton / torch to that CDI almost perfectly since the mileage is so close.

With 425,000 miles on the CDI, I should feel right at home.

I wonder if there are any meds that can help me....

Click on and scroll the Carfax - 425,000 miles in 6 yrs and 8 months - amazing.

For the guy that was wondering about the 05/06 E320 CDI's durability in miles - this might be a testimonial CDI with the numbers he was looking for.

Wow....5,300 miles a month.

I didn't see a price...wonder what it's going for.

The more I see cars like that, the less reluctant I will be at some point to buy one with 250k on it.

Given the completeness of the service records from the dealer, it interests me that there's no record of tranny service since 173k miles.

I have first-hand knowledge of at least two 722.6 transmissions with over 300k miles of service that are still running on fluid and filters that were installed in Germany in 1998.

This story isn't going to go over well with the 240d-is-the-
greatest-car-in-the-world devotees......

And it could be that, on some visits, the tranny serivce was simply subsumed under "Recommended maintenance performed."

Hilarious that they can put "JUST 425040 miles" in the ad.

I'd MUCH prefer to purchase a young car with lots of miles versus an old car with 1/2 the miles... it's all about the WAY the miles were piled on. highway is FAR less destructive than city driving...

FWIW the story on this is that the guy traded it in for a CDI with 120k on it. The dealer running the ad (apparently automatically generated??) sent it to auction. So it's not actually available from the dealer on the ad.

I was wondering if I was the only one to notice that... I guess that means my 300SD is super-low at only 211k, then .

Maybe Tyler will buy it and sell it to us on the cheap!
