Karlyn Motor Mounts

Anyone have any experience with these on the 123/126's? My Meyle mounts are collapsed after only a few years, one of which was sitting no less.

Not looking to spend mad cash on dealership mounts since I'm working on getting my E320 together after the accident. Just want to see if anyone has used these recently and what they think.

I used them in a 240D a few years ago. They were priced higher at that time than they are now. They were manufactured in Thailand, and they lasted about a year.

so why not...

just get the Phoenix brand from our 'host', Pelican parts? Phoenix brand is supposed to be the o.e.m. supplier for M.B. and they're affordable imho at around $20 sumpin', as I recall?

Original Equipment= Phoenix = Lemförder/Lemfoerder/Lemforder. All have the Phoenix Logo on them and all are made in Turkey.
From the Dealer the Mounts are $150 something each.

The Lemförder/Lemfoerder/Lemforder are the same except the Mercedes Star is ground off.
For a 300D with a 617.952 Engine the Mercedes part number is 1232413013

On the same subject, would I be safe with the Corteco mounts for a 190D 2.5? $60 vs $165 for OEM is a huge difference

Found the Phoenix ones under an 85 300D. No clue why they aren't listed for the NA 617

There is a difference between the ones for an Automatic Transmission and the ones with a Manual Transmission.

For the Automatic Trans mission the one site listed Lemförder/Lemfoerder/Lemforder as being OEM with a part number of 1085902 (this does not look like a Mercedes part Number) and they were less than $60. I beleive this is the Mrecedes part number 1242401717.

I have not read anything on any Forums to indicate where the Lemförder/Lemfoerder/Lemforder ones are made or other details about them.

On my 83 300SD, the Corteco mounts pancaked so bad in a year, that I cut into my oil cooler lines.

Technically the NA mounts are a different part number.

Thank your for the segue into a question I have been meaning to ask: Is there actually a difference, or can I just use turbodiesel mounts?

The NA versions are hard to find in reputable brands.

I believe that the 300D turbo mounts are stronger but otherwise no different. I know almost for a fact that this is the case between the 240D and 300D.

Don't forget about this little trick! I picked up some OEM mounts for under $100/pair. But I still plan on doing this. Same for trans mount.

Karlyn == cheap trash.

You can buy Loctite Flashing Glue at your local home depot for $7? a tube. It isn't the hardest shore polyurethane you can buy (which really you dont want) and its a bit of a mess but works like a charm.

The only difference between the 616 mounts, the N/A 617 mounts, and the turbo mounts is the shore hardness. I believe they get stiffer as the engine gets heavier.

Otherwise, they bolt right up.

I'm using Phoenix turbo mounts that I bought here on Pelican in my N/A 300D and I am in love so far.
