1985 300D 722.416 transmission leak-need help to ID this part

Right rear part of the transmission. What is this part called that is leaking? Thank you.

That's the secondary pump. Passenger side of the car right?

Thank you. Yes, it is the right side. Is this normally solved with an o-ring behind the snap ring, or is this usually an internal problem?

I have some seals coming in from the dealer for this tomorrow, but from the diagrams, it looks like the seal is deep in the transmission. Does anyone here have any experience with re-sealing one of these secondary oil pumps?

the user JamesDean on this forum did this surgery on his 722.4 trans in his 2.5 300D, it was part of the broken governor drive gear repair he was doing.
