Survey: Who wants injectors?

Thinking of getting bench back up and running for a few weeks and offering custom-balanced injectors just to people here on the forum.

Used to sell as Colorado Biodiesel Rocky Mountain Gold injectors. German DNO SD 240/ nozzles, balanced to +/-2.5bar (factory is +/-5bar)

Can't get the German nozzles, India Bosch were total crap for years, but last set I bought a month ago had ten out of ten that pop tested good on the bench. Maybe they figured their s**t out. But..., those are the only 240/ nozzles (new) that I can get at any reasonable price.

I do have many used/good German from junkyard cores and such, but cleaning and testing is more hassle than it's worth, so thinking I'll sell off bodies, parts, nozzles, etc., that I have (anyone want to take over custom injectors, contact me).

So..., is anyone interested in balanced sets for your 617/616 with India/Bosch 240/ nozzles (or a nozzle that you want that I can actually get)

BTW, pic above is to show what I "used" to make. Only have four or five gold-plated upper bodies and four chrome upper left. The rest are just stock black-oxide steel. All parts will be used/good (as any rebuilt injector will have) except with new nozzles.

$85/each (with Bosch India DNOSD 240/ nozzle - balanced to 135 +/-2.5bar for 617.952, 115+/-2.5bar for 616) No core charge.
$60/ea to rebuild yours to above (less if you provide nozzle - email me)

If enough are interested, I'll crank up the bench, if not then I won't.

Email me directly or post here.

How long are you back in the US? That's a great price.

Could you post the price of cleaning and rebuilding an injector with owner provided parts? Thanks.

If you provide all parts? You can probably find someone local to you to do that. Or do it yourself and just pay someone to pop-test/balance them. Save shipping and all that (but most will only balance to factory spec)

I'd probably do them for $20/each to +/-2.5bar. If you have ALL parts (including whatever shims they have)

But..., looking like it's going to be soon that I ship out again. Early or mid Jan and you know how the post office is this time of year...

I got 5 rebuilt injectors from Greazzer over on superturbodiesel.com I think I paid $200 or $250. He caters to almost everyone over on STD. He used to use Monark 265's, but now uses Monark 315's.

For what its worth, there is only one place within 30 miles of me that balances injectors and they want $50 each. That is one of the downsides to not being near a large metropolitan area.

You can buy or build a rig and do it yourself. That's what I did. I clean, rebuild, nozzle and pop/balance my own and it's a heck of a savings.

That's exactly what I did as well. A pop tester from a 2ton bottle jack is easy to make. The tricky part is getting the right shims. I've taken to grabbing injectors at the junk yard just for the shims.
