No Floor Heat in 1987 W124 300TD

Vacuum tested driver and passenger footwell pods directly after removing climate control panel and found that passengers is shot but drivers is still ok. Plugged passenger side vacuum but drivers side still does not actuate damper. What else could be wrong?

Also, was going to replace both but can figure out how vacuum pod is removed from metal bracket?

Thanks!

your pods for the footwell are linked together, one is busted the other wont work. they are the easiest of the 7 to replace.

Aquaticedge,

Thanks for picture. That's exactly what I was looking at today.

I tested both pods individually with a mityvac by applying vacuum to pod. As I said, left pod holds a vacuum but right one does not.

As a test, I left the passenger side pod disconnected and plugged that line at the "Y". I was thinking that if I removed bad pod other one would actuate provided sufficient vacuum was available. However, that was not the case.

It appears that no vacuum is being supplied from junction block. Does that mean junction block is bad or something else?

Thanks!

Either A, the supply line has come undone from the top of it (Green in color) or you have a break in the system either at the firewall (likely) or under the dash. Verify there's vacuum to the switch block by removing the glove box and looking down and left. you should see make sure you have vacuum coming into the topmost line, also make sure there's a connector going to the electrical component of the Y7 Switch
