That piston look reusable. Did the valve face have its way with the cylinder walls?

That'll buff right out. Just turn up the radio a little louder.

Makes me glad I just did the chain on my OM601! Went from 4 degs stretch to 0. :)

How many miles on the engine when it blew? Is the vacuum pump still in one piece?

I've had the motor sitting in the yard for 3+ years, and two cylinders are rust seized... that piston is at TDC so I do not know the condition of the liner, but there is zero damage to the head, and the valve was still in place when I pulled the head. the valve only came out, when I grabbed it with my hand.
|
1/2 of the lifter on that valve is still in it's pocket, but the top blew out when the piston slapped the valve. I'm taking the head over to a diesel machine shop for testing. if it's usable, I'll have a spare for my two 190's, or it'll be up for sale.
