That piston look reusable. Did the valve face have its way with the cylinder walls?

That'll buff right out. Just turn up the radio a little louder.

Makes me glad I just did the chain on my OM601! Went from 4 degs stretch to 0. :)

How many miles on the engine when it blew? Is the vacuum pump still in one piece?

Hilarious :D. You're assuming the radio works.

I've had the motor sitting in the yard for 3+ years, and two cylinders are rust seized... that piston is at TDC so I do not know the condition of the liner, but there is zero damage to the head, and the valve was still in place when I pulled the head. the valve only came out, when I grabbed it with my hand.

1/2 of the lifter on that valve is still in it's pocket, but the top blew out when the piston slapped the valve. I'm taking the head over to a diesel machine shop for testing. if it's usable, I'll have a spare for my two 190's, or it'll be up for sale.

I thought the 190s had a different head than the later gen 602s.

the VP was the new style, and worked fine, I used it in my 87 wagon.

the vp ramp is pristine.

I do not know. if so, it'll just be a part for sale, but they appear identical. same Prechambers and injectors...
