Mercedes axle shaft diameter?

What would be the diameter of the rear axle from a W123 or such vehicle? The shaft part that pokes into the diff, that is. Does someone have on they could measure for me?

I think you will need to be more specific as there is the diameter that the C clip goes into and then there is the splined section and then there is a section that the Differential Seal rides on.

99% sure it's the splined bit, but measurements of multiple points would be good as well .

Thank you, Stretch!!

Both ends are the same (on my homokinetic can type axles) 29.4mm +/- 0.1mm

So wheel hub end splines and differential splines are the same outer diameter - not sure about the splines (probably the same i.e. either end will slide on in there but won't fit 'cos of different lengths of course)

Solid rod between the cans is 27mm in diameter
