It charges you to verify location, then refunds...

I go through this every year, except I add the international EPC for $12.00 USD.

Remove all versions of JAVA on your computer using add or remove programs or programs and features in the control panel.

Go to Where can I get the latest version of Java 6?

Download the 32 BIT version of JAVA, version 38, install and retry EPC.net.

32 BIT is required for EPC.net and version 6.

Version 7 or 64bit versions are not supported at this time.

That info from MBUSA EPC does not seem to be current. Last time I looked, it said to use Version 7 update 45.

If you already have downloaded update 51, you can get it to work by following previous post on how to modify Java from Java control panel. But other way is to uninstall update51 and install update 45 which you can get here:

https://www.google.com/search?q=java+7+update+45&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-USfficial&client=firefox-a

For those of you who are unaware, Mercedes has posted up all the service manuals for our favorite cars on their Star TekInfo website, no need to login at all.

STAR TekInfo

Click, MB Workshop Resources -> Service Manual Library CD/DVD
By the way, as discussed in other threads, many parts of the on-line manuals on Startek don't work with Firefox. Especially the 123 manual. Just checked removal of rear axle and it wouldn't work. Good tip to use Internet Explorer - Manuals do then work.

No login anymore? that's great! I was never able to get into Startek even after registering. Does Startek provide parts info, p/n's and prices? If so please post links.

There never was a log in for the main Startek site. Just for epc. If you register for epc, you can get the parts info but no prices. Hopefully they now have the registration system back working.

Windows 8.1, Java 7 (64-bit) version 51.

I did have to go into the security settings for Java and turn it down to "medium" security level and add the following to the exception list.

https://epc.startekinfo.com
https://aftersales.i.daimler.com
http://retailfactory.mercedes-benz.com

In Windows 8, hover the mouse over the upper right corner of the desktop, click on the magnifying glass and type Java in the search box, then select Configure Java.
Jay Bob,
I did a little test, and found that you don't need those exceptions. Just move the slider to Medium. Not sure if this is more or less safe than reverting to update 45.

and here is the front page for the whole index, all cars. Just find your vehicle group on this page and you can bring up your model complete. It looks like it also supports more parts outlets for Eastern European cars. The drawn diagrams seem to be better also in this new format. Maybe not, but I think so.

This second link works on your tablet (android). This is great, thanks.
