Vacuum problem causing no-start ,maybe?
 

so weird question.
is there any vacuum situation that would cause my benz not to start.
it seems like since i was messing with my locks it now wont start.
i thought it was the cold temperature.
maybe im wrong
i have nrwGPs and battery.

i know the main brown line is going to the shut off is hooked up...and all the min vacs are connected. black one to the transmission etc.
the yellow lock control valve in the engine bay is capped off so its not a part of the equation.

it started in 8° weather with new battery and new GPs
now nothing
turns over well ... no combustion tho it seems

maybe im over thinking.

Please always include the year and model, it makes a difference in many answers.

Is the dashboard preglow light coming on, and staying on for a normal time? Assuming yes, can you hear the relay click on and off?

When you try to start, is there anything coming out the tailpipe? (If fuel is being supplied, you should have unburned fuel coming out the back when you crank.)

Describe the "lock control valve" that you have capped off. Do you mean the round yellow splitter valve?

pre glow is 7 secs before it shuts of...like 20 secs before relay clicks

It's unlikely that vacuum problems are preventing your car from starting. The only possibility for that is a bad vacuum valve on the ignition switch. Disconnect the brown line from the shut off valve on the injection pump and try starting the engine. If it still won't start, then that's not the problem.

If you think it is a Vacuum issue remove the Brown Vacuum Line at the Fuel Injection Pump and plug it. That way no Vacuum will reach the Vacuum Shutoff Valve/Servo.

The only other Vacuum Item that could mess with starting would be if you had an EGR Valve that was getting Vacuum when it is not supposed to. And, I don't know if your year as an EGR or not.
If so the test is similar to the Shutoff Valve. Disconect the Vacuum Line and plug the line and that cuts off the EGR from the Vacuum.

I doubt that the EGR would prevent starting, but I suppose it's worth a try. Not really necessary to plug the lines for a test, but a good idea if you plan to run that way for a bit.

I missed an obvious question, earlier. The brown line that runs into the shutoff valve is hooked up but to where? It should be running directing through the firewall and nowhere else.

Ordinarily I would not ask, but you mention that you were messing around with the vacuum lines....
