I plan on doing the 400E brake upgrade on my 190D so the car will stop quicker (needed for city traffic, although most of my driving now is in the suburbs) but I have a dilemma: I need to use the brake booster out of a 190E 2.6 to compensate for the added volume (and I have one), but the 190E 2.6 has an ABS master cylinder and my car is non-ABS (3 brake lines go to the non-ABS vs 2 for the ABS). I am not sure on all the technicalities of the job but I believe I will probably want a bigger MC than the one that is in my car now (which is already on the way out), but on the W201, there were only 2 different sized MCs as far as I know. It seems that the MCs both the W201 and W124 MCs will work with a W201 brake booster, so were there any W124s that did not have ABS?
