Speedo cable disconnected - transmission fluid leak.

OK, I'm still trying to get the new speedo cable connected to the transmission of the 1984 300DT. Drove the car yesterday; this AM noticed a small stain (5" X 2") of tranny fluid on the concrete. I have the car scheduled with an Indy for repair of the speedo cable on Friday. Can I safely drive it another day? Or should it sit until I take in in for the speedo cable install?

Follow the pdf I have uploaded to check the transfluid (very specific way)

If I were you I would leave at least the trans side of the speedocable attached and maybe zip tie the rest under the car so it is unobstructed, at least this way no fluid car drip.

Fluid level is always checked at idle. Measured level will appear higher than it actually is if measured with engine not running.

I have a leak and check the level frequently. Repair is a Summer undertaking.
