that's great! as long as the pistons are the same diameter, and the pin spacing on the pad lock pin holes are the same, you're golden.

I have replaced the parts, but I seem to be having some trouble bleeding the brakes.

I took the cap off of the reservoir and had someone push down on the pedal. Barely any fluid came out. I then tried one of the harbor freight bleed vacuum things and barely any fluid came out.

I looked in the FSM and did not see anything special.
Is there some trick or thing I am missing?

The brake fluid reservoir has two sections your rear section has no fluid in it!

Fill the reservoir up to the top of the opening and fluid will flow over the divide into the rear section, you'll need to do this continuously because by now you've pumped air into the circuit that will need to be pushed through and out of it.

So I just added fluid and it did not seem to go over the divide. It just filled to the top and sat there. I'll take a photo of the reseviour it looks like I can see a small second section, but I'm not 100% sure.

Filled to the top of the opening? Try wiggling it side to side a bit, don't overdo it just rock it a bit. Use a flashlight to illuminate it holding the light on the passenger side.

Dead on. That back section is tiny. I would have never really noticed that. When I jostled it side to side a bit I finally saw some air bubbles and the back filling up.

Thanks. Ill probably have to bleed it tomorrow. It is so damn cold now.

Yeah, I can not tell a lie, it's going to be a challenge to bleed all the air out. It might help to start just by filling and keeping full the rear section and opening the bleeders at the calipers at least until you get something flowing out of the bleeders. Some times when this complete drain happens it will take a couple attemps pushing fluid from the master then vacuuming at the bleeder (if you have to go that route go to any hardware store and get a small container of plumber's silicon grease, use that to coat the bleeder threads to prevent sucking air past them when you vacuum bleed, the silicon grease will not contaminate the silicon based brake fluid) another trick is to use an old pump style oil can to push fluid from the bleeders back to the master, keep your eye on that for any overflowing of the reservoir. If you've got anyone or place you can borrow a Motive Power Bleeder that's the easiest way to go. Don't be surprised if you need a quart or more of brake fluid eventually!

Can't recommend the power bleeder method enough.

Easy Peazy Lemon Squeezy

Fill it, hook it up, pump it up, go around to each bleeder, done.
