welding slag on my windows, poor old car
yep have pitting on my driver window of all windows, i looked everywhere and it doesn't so signs of repair inside or where i can see any around the outside on the car in that area.
But i have come to the realization that just about every panel on this old girl has been touched by someone working on while the original owner played auto pinball.

Yes I have several Pair of Eyeglasses with pits in them from stuff that came up into the Welding Hood when I was Arc Welding.
Slag seems to bounce off the newer Plastic or Polycarbonate Lenses on Glasses.

You'll need to visit the salvage yard and harvest a window. They're pretty straightforward to change though if it's your first time inside a car door expect to get your hands cut. I still do and I've been messing with this stuff for 50 years or more. There's no fixing the slag as it actually melts into the glass.

Even the sparks from grinding can do extensive glass damage.

There is a difference in the glass thickness in these 123`s. Up to (I believe ) 9/79 or maybe 9/78, the window glass is thicker, then after that up to 85 MB went to a thinner glass. so to play it safe, get glass from a 80 -85 chassis.
