Mmmmmm...well...the PO installed a tiny trick little boost gauge face over the clock--I really like that...and might have a hard time reselling it (the gauge face appears to be glued over the clock)...
Probably a lot cheaper and than replacing the diff, huh? |

Ooooooooooooooooh!
You'll have to excuse me--I'm not used to the idea of only replacing what you need to--this is the oldest car I've ever owned by about 10 years. I'll check out some of the speedometer threads to find out what P/N is going to work best--unless you have a suggestion? |

Hey, sorry for barging in. I have an 87 300SDL and had to replace the speedometer because the miles counter was not working. I installed a speedo from another 300sdl and when I checked the speed against the GPS the needle is 10 mph fast. In other words, when the needle is at 65 mph the GPS tells me 55 mph and this is true all the way. One thing is that my 300sdl is totally electronic. It does not have the speedo cable like the W124s and so on. Does anybody know if I could adjust it by forcing the needle as mentioned here (before)? Thanks.

Yes you can, but there's probably a way to adjust it electronically.
