Dan, I'll have to do that next time on the way home. I was on a "balls out" run to St James to do some work that took until late afternoon and I was in a hurry to get home.

I may be back there in a few weeks.

my brother just called to tell me the snow collapsed the carports I had on my parts car, and my daughter's car...

apparently, 3" snow, under 2" ice, under 8" snow was too much weight for a tubular steel tarp car port...

Wow, I didn't like where this was headed. I was really afraid of getting too much information...

I would not trade 24" of snow, 40 mph winds, and below zero temps for an ice storm. You can keep that all to your selves.
However I would welcome a mid winter thaw as it has been the coldest winter on record here.
Lake Superior has not frozen over since about 1996.
It's frozen now, (and snowing) : weather_cam

Can't have been too much damage then. Could be worse, like that sinkhole at the corvette museum.

This is what was REALLY happening. The AT-AT was digitally removed from the previous pictures to mitigate additional panic...

I'll take pictures when I get there to inspect everything... staying warm and cozy in my condo at the moment... tomorrow maybe...

one of my customers called me to tell me her computers and fire alarms were going off, since the power went out.

her power is back on. yea!

I just went outside for the first time, and shoveled the walk. fun.

kids were snowball fighting, so I joined in... MAN little kids suck at throwing snowballs...

I let my truck be target practice... explained to them how easy it is to dodge snowballs if you lob them... they've gotta be fastballs. low and straight. I think the figured it out. my truck looks like it has snowball measles...

Time to go back to Caracas, where the temperature is a balmy 82 degrees, it is sunny and the girls all wear those flimsy dresses and short skirts .....

Worked from home for the last 3 days. Decided I'm going to wait for the bruhaha to all die down and then find an old 4x4 that looks ripe for a 616/617 conversion and grab it.

It's great out there now, just some slush on the secondary roads and it's like 50 degrees!
