722.3 Transmission Cooler Lines

I'm ready to mount the transmission temperature sensor for my engine instrumentation project. I made it to clamp onto the transmission fluid cooler line. It appears that the "hot" side is the drivers side line, but I haven't been able to definitively verify this.

Can someone confirm the direction of flow through the cooler before I mount the sensor?

I found FSM job 27-600, for pulling and reinstalling transmission.

One of the steps in that job, that talks about disconnecting the oil cooler lines, that the drivers side is the supply and the passenger side is the return.

Good luck with this, I have been following this project.

I am thinking Arudino or Raspberry Pi with a dedicated LCD in the cluster.

Thanks a million...

If you go Raspberry Pi it will be very easy to set up. What made mine so complex and frustrating is the design criteria to use bluetooth for connectivity and Android for display.

I've got the Arduino running in the car with Vac, Boost and one temp sensor working (just hanging free for now) and displaying properly on the Android. The other two temp sensors and the TIT (EGT) will be here in a week or so (K-type thermocouple coming from China).
