Angry My car decided to spit some parts today, NOT MY WIFE'S FAULT

This afternoon as I was trying to adjust the carb on my snowblower to get it ready for the possible snow storm, something in the Benz caught my eye that didn't seem right, it was one of those look twice kind of things. To my surprise the passenger side fog light was missing... I was like WTF??? So I dropped the tools and went to inspect the bumper... the whole corner was scrapped underneath, bumper cover was cracked in four places (close to each other) the foglight was just laying on the front pan, and the inner fender cover? GONE!!!!
My head was going in a million directions trying to figure out what had happen. Went right inside and asked the wife and OF COURSE SHE WAS CLUELESS She claims she didn't hit anything and has no idea what happened, I mean this is not a parking lot door ding!
How can someone hit something, rip the fender cover clean of the car and not hear a frigging sound??? SO AGGRAVATED RIGHT NOW.

Here are the pics of her handy work

Looks like a trauma - collision with something or other took place.

looks like snow embankment damage to me, maybe pulling in to park. You have a lot of collections sitting around your area?

buddy of mine just took out a transmission cooler on his F250 with ice blocks. Never even noticed he did it

Yeah, I kind of knew exactly what went on the minute I got to see the extent of the damage. The aggravating part is the attitude, anything is possible, but her hitting the car? NEVER.
I cooled off a bit now, I know she hit a snow embankment, our town is decorated with them everywhere and that's one of the things I keep warning her about.
Oh well, nothing much I can do now. Insurance claim has been filed and hopefully they'll take care of this minus my $500 deductible of course.
Funny thing is as I was looking for the car cover she says to me "what are you doing? I need to go to COSCO" She didn't even bother to check on the wiring harness that was rubbing against the tire, she just needs to go shopping

First year married she drove my Corolla into a concrete wall, that one she did notice
She said her shoe got caught on the stupid mat. All and all I guess I got away cheap this time

Don't be so hard on her. Be glad she was not hurt.

Mine inquired about opening the hood on the 05 E320 and I told her to never even think about it. There is nothing under there for her.

That is a very easy fix by the way. I see that type damage a lot on BMW and MBs.

My brother keeps a spare bumper to his wife's car in the garage... he doesn't even paint them anymore... the first 3 he did, then he started stocking the bumpers and not bothering to paint them...

mine called me Monday to tell me it was harder than usual to turn the steering wheel, and when she got to the dr's appointment, it was REALLY hard to turn the wheel in the parking deck... I ask her if any gauges were abnormal, or if any dash lights were on... she said, "I thought the lights were always on... it's an old car right?"...

I tell her to leave the car off, and I'll get there in a minute... serpentine belt disintegrated, and bits wrapped around everything... I have to pull the crank pulley, the fan clutch, and the belt tensioner... on my pristine 87TD... AARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!

I took her key away, and had the car towed to my house. told her she needs to buy her own car, and drive it however she wants...

We've only been married 11 years, if I were to say that to my wife I'd be sleeping with the dog and making my own breakfast.

The CDI's front-end ground effects/fairing assembly height off the ground isn't very high, as contrasted with both my previous MB diesels. It takes care to be aware of the low clearance. The CDI even looks like a lowered car in some ways to me. With all the sexiness of looks, comes some drawbacks.

keep in mind that she took out the previous 87TD by slamming it into the sidewalk at the condo... took out the radiator then drove it to the store, and back, came in and told me "I think the car is leaking something"...

OP, I think you'd better stfu, fix the car & let her go shopping. Cars are cheaper to replace and easier to fix than wives.

Man the **** some guys will put up with......

One of my co workers hopped in her truck last week and set off without noticing her husband's snowmobile parked in front of it. She merrily drove through town and only noticed a snowmobile embedded in the front of her vehicle when she stopped at the daycare to drop her kids off!
