Hit some water, heater blower stopped working.... 1983 300d

I hit some fairly deep water tonight(maybe 12" deep) with my 83 300d. A few minutes later, I smelled a burning/electrical smell, then the blower fan stopped working.

I haven't checked anything yet, as It's dark and sleeting here now,but I was hoping you guys could give me some ideas about what you think may have happened to save me some troubleshooting time.
Thanks!

Makes me wonder if the water caused a short circuit. Have you taken the cover off the fuse box and looked for any blown fuses?
