Just introducing myself

Hey PeachParts!

Just thought I would introduce myself. I came over from the BenzWorld forum and I sort of made my profile look recognizable on both. I'm in Sacramento,CA and I've got a 1980 240D undergoing a 617.952 swap, a 1994 E320, and a 2010 Mazda 3 (dont kill me).

Here are some pictures of my cars :)

I wont post the Mazda since its not really relevant, but if you want to see it its whatever. I hope I can make some great contributions to this forum; I plan to learn much from it!

EDIT: Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place. :/

Thanks guys for the warm welcome!

This is my grandfathers farm, but I figured "huh, some pictures would look realyl good on the ranch" :)

The car is nice, but a definite 20 footer; the pain was cheap Maaco job that's starting to chip and show the original brown paint.

And there seem to be a weird amount of people on the forum around the Sacramento area, at least this is true on the Benzworld forum.

Welcome! Though the 617 belongs in a pickup, Land Rover, or......... Anything but a M-B! (J/K - you'll see several 617 swaps on here).

Welcome, Josh. Very nice 240D, the hubcaps truly accent the color. Also, I'd like to recommend keeping the BenzWorld comment for Open Discussion. ;)

That is a sharp 240D! Welcome to the forum.

Your grandfathers farm looks like where my car lived when it was my grandmothers car. She lives on an orchard south of Marysville.

Diesel Mercedes and farming always goes together in my mind. The Mercedes is just a highly refined tractor.

That was the logic behind taking the pictures on the farm lol :) Everything seems to make the same clackity noise.

Our orchard is on the outskirts of Tracy, south of Stockton.

I will keep this in mind. The P.O. I believe decided to keep two hubcaps for himself, so the two on the other side are a different color (gray as opposed to no color) but no one knows. :)

Always wanted to do some sort of Jeep build, not that I'm an off road guy or anything. The 616 coming out of the car might go somewhere interesting.

welcome! thats a good looking 240, looks nice and unrusted. This is against forum policy, you need to splash some salt on there so its got the correct patina for a 123

:D

Welcome! Are you active on BW? The W123 looks familiar.

uberwasser 02-21-2014 06:31 PM

Hey man. Good to see you over here too.

I guess active enough to know that you let your 280E go at a starting price of $1700 which eventually went down to $1000, and that you just bought a 1987 300E, which was a conversion from a member on the PP forum. :)

But yea generally active. Maybe if they put up my profile picture it will be more recognizable. I guess I'm more known as the one who is taking apart his W123 and has no idea how it goes back together.

Thanks uberwasser, its good to see people keep the same names so they are easy to identify.
