That is a good question. I have not personally tried it, so I don't know for sure. If I had another '85, I would surely try it.

The CA emissions '85 starter has the solenoid on the bottom, so it is the only odd-ball of all the models from '69 to '85.

My normal pipe bender could not bend the pipes, so I had the original fabricator use mandrel bends for them on this batch. They are made like the first batch, with two pieces of mandrel bent mild steel tubing. The cost is $160 + $20 P/H/I. As usual, they come with bolts, gaskets, and EGR plate and hardware.
