W126 radiator availability

I've looked, but I can't find any new radiators for sale for my 1987 300SDL at Peach Parts or one other site. Anyone else noticed this? I did a search and couldn't find this topic. I don't need one at this time, but this is not good. I can't find a good quality mono valve, either. I can understand a small part not being available, but a radiator? If I've missed a thread, please direct me to it. Thanks.

When I had my SDL the only radiator I could find was from the dealer.

I believe it is PN 1265005303, I paid around $350. Current list is like $560, I saw it online for $430. Maybe they went up in January.

The part number supposedly works for gassers too, so if someone can confirm that tracking down a used gas one shouldn't be hard.

There is a lot of competition in the radiator world. Unfortunately, we drive old unusual cars and the supply is drying up with little incentive to manufacture more.

I have noticed people having a hard time finding radiators for SDLs. The monovalve problem affects all of us, though.

Just called my benz dealer. NO more radiators - in the USA OR in Germany for this car. (87 300 SDL) Period! What brought this up was while I was at my local mechanic yesterday,(better than average Benz, BMW, VW garage), he was telling me how he looked for 2 weeks and couldn't find a new radiator for one of his customer's 300SDL. He finally put in a used radiator from a junk yard. That customer promptly sold his Benz.

The 603 equipped W126 was a USA only vehicle. No surprise MB has dropped the part.

Just think... $300 in condenser fans, $400 condenser, $500 radiator, and $300 radiator fan. Geeze aren't these cars easy to keep on the road

The part is in fact NLA, the old part number is 126-500-2703 which superseeds to the current part number 126-500-5303. I talked to my parts guy who I trust and buy a lot from, he confirms it is NLA. They can look in some other dealers inventories and he can't find any around. Maybe parts.com has their inventory blocked, or when you order it, it will back order.
