Hi Guys
I was trying to to remove neutral switch off one of my 82 300sd to the other
I found out I didnt need to. I restored the same car now it will not start inside the car in any gear. It starts when I jump it under the hood when I move the gear shift into reverse it will not move until the shifter is at neutral on the shifter panel and will not go forward until its at low on the panel. Is the switch bad or can I adjust it and how? Thanks Greg

Your linkage just needs adjusting. While you're under there check to make sure the linkage bushings are OK too. The NSS adjustment is completely different and you can't adjust that until your linkage is set properly.

Replace all you shifter bushings and then go from there...
