ADA not ALDA and zero to sixty in 27 :-(

I have a high mileage 91 300D .. about 345k on her.

With the help of this forum I've been able to quite a hard shift in the transmission by cleaning up the old vacuum lines. I now understand just how important that system is...

Now I'd like to turn my energy to improving her pick-up. It took her almost 27 seconds to go from 0 to 60 the other night when I tested her. That leaves a world for improvement.

At some point in my cars previous life, her ALDA was removed, so I'm told I have ADA instead of ALDA. I've read threads here that say it's possible to remove the ALDA and still have solid performance. Since the day I bought her, she's been a slug on pick up, and hates steep hills.

Can anyone aim me toward any low hanging fruit that I may examine and work on that might be the cause of my super sluggish pick up.

As always, any and all help is appreciated.
